Wine nights at the press

Come join us for cosy evenings all about wines at The Press. Our host Kat from Wine Fairy Events (winefairyevents.com.au) loves taking people on a personalised journey of wine tasting, diving into the world of flavours and aromas.

Whether we're trying out different wines with matched cheeses or figuring out the unique notes in each sip, Wine night at the Press are all about making every tasting a fun discovery; a celebration of the little things that make each wine moment special.

NIGHTS AT THE PRESS

The Magic Lantern Australian Tour

On the 25th of May we welcome British/Australian singer-songwriter and composer Jamie Doe.

To Everything A Season is Jamie’s unashamedly emotional fifth album written in the months following his daughter’s birth and his father’s death six weeks later. Describing their brief meeting in a dementia nursing home Jamie says:

“In that cathartic moment I saw myself in my father, and my daughter in me and I felt joy and grief in overlapping waves, beautiful and complicated, which continue to ripple outward.

These songs are my attempt to make sense of this incredible time where both ends of the circle of life touched.”

To Everything A Season crackles with the quiet intensity of a family’s rawest and most intimate moments. Recorded live over four days at the legendary La Buissonne studio in France by Gérard de Haro. The album captures a vivid emotional immediacy, the richness of the ensemble arrangements and spirited improvisation belying the devastating songwriting.
